ShowbizSpy:
ROBERT Pattinson‘s rekindled romance with Kristen Stewart is nothing more than a cynical ploy to bolster the success of the final Twilight movie Breaking Dawn, it has been claimed.
The pair recently got back together after they split following reports Kristen cheated on Rob with married director Rupert Sanders.
Rob and Kristen have been putting on a united front in recent days and are, seemingly, determined to prove to the world their romance is back on track.
They have been pictured together in bars and with friends, and today will make their first joint television appearance since their split.
But insiders have speculated about whether the reunion is genuine or just a “showmance” designed to ensure Breaking Dawn – Part 2 is a box office hit, according to Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper.
Many believe industry bosses now want fans to focus on the film rather than the couple’s off-screen rift.
“This has come as a big surprise. New Line [the film studio behind Twilight] feel that a joint TV appearance will ease the impact on fans of their red carpet debut but not diminish the publicity,” a source said.
“In recent days Rob and Kristen have really shown their friendship is back on track. They are comfortable around one another and that inspired this brave move.
“Where they go as a couple after this still has to be seen.”

Here comes another Robert Pattinson-Kristen Stewart doozy from the National Enquirer, which declares, “R-Pattz Sinks Fangs Into K-Stew!”
The tabloid, which wrongly claimed Pattinson was Leonardo DiCaprio’s new partying pal and falsely alleged that Stewart was physically “attacked” by Twilight fans, is now trying to bolster the tired tale that their reunion was “ordered by slavemasters (aka movie moguls) to promote their flick.”
According to the Enquirer, a new “tidbit tattled by a pal of both doesn’t bode well for romance.”
“Rob just told Kristen he’s signed for a flick with hot Brit actress Carey Mulligan, knowing it would trigger a jealous streak generated by Rob’s constant raves about Carey back when she was dating one of his pals,” claims the outlet.
The Enquirer says Pattinson was “tweaking his maybe-love’s green monster” when he supposedly asked her, “Can you believe I’ll be playing Carey Mulligan’s lover?”
Yeah… that’s a natural-sounding “quote.”
Pattinson then allegedly “twisted the knife,” says the mag, and taunted Stewart, “Why are you pouting? You’re not jealous of Carey, are you?”
The tab says the actor may have capped his psychological assault by pointing out Mulligan’s married status, supposedly as a way of hinting at Stewart’s indiscretion with Rupert Sanders.
Uh-huh.
Let’s return to reality.
This conversation never happened.
Beyond the painfully stilted language of the bogus conversation, there’s the simple fact that the Enquirer’s “sources” with Stewart and Pattinson might be charitably described as uninformed.
It’s true that Pattinson and Mulligan are set to work together on an upcoming project, but the only bearing that has on Pattinson and Stewart is that the Enquirer is stuck trying to defend a narrative in which the Twilight stars hate each other and have been forced to reunite against their will.
That’s a bogus story, and so is this latest item.
A source close to the situation tells Gossip Cop the Enquirer report is “silly and insulting.”

As a result of the massively successful Twilight Saga films, Robert Pattinson has transformed into a bigger star than he could ever have imagined.
And this week, it was widely reportedly by outlets including E!, The New York Daily News and USA Today that the young actor had landed a whopping $12 million dollar men’s fragrance deal with Christian Dior. Gleefully, the press noted that Pattinson’s deal had even topped Brad Pitt’s reported paltry $7 million for his Chanel No. 5 ads.
But there is no fragrance contract. Not yet, at least.
The Dior international press office in Paris explained to The Hollywood Reporter Wednesday morning that the so-called “reports” were just rumors and that no contract has been signed. They had no further comments.
Calls to Pattinson’s camp went unanswered.
There is no question that a fragrance deal may be in Pattinson’s future. After all, his Twilight costar (and rumored on-again girlfriend) Kristen Stewart is already plugging the house of Balenciaga’s Florabotanica scent.
Should a deal come through for Pattinson, he would join the ranks of other A-list actors — Jude Law, Charlize Theron and Natalie Portman — who have endorsed Dior fragrances in the past. Marion Cotillard is also the face of Dior handbags
But it’s worth noting that Pattinson has a closer relationship with Gucci than Dior. In fact, he loves Gucci so much that he wore their designs head-to-toe (the Signoria suit, white shirt, skinny black tie, leather belt and dress shoes) throughout his film Cosmopolis, as well as during the film’s press tour.
“After I found out [from his agent] that Rob actually wore Gucci in real life, I looked at photos of him in their suits and that was the style I wanted for his character,” Cosmopolis costume designer Denise Cronenberg told THR. “Gucci is not something I have used before, but I think it’s smart to use a line that he has already worn.”
Cronenberg also revealed that Pattinson kept all his Gucci suits from the film. “I didn’t think he would because he has like 4,000 suits,” she admitted.
When and if Pattinson ever does land a lucrative fragrance contract, we hope he isn’t presented with a script that rambles nonsensically about dreams and destiny (see: Pitt’s frequently parodied Chanel No. 5 ad).

Kristen Stewart has reportedly bought Robert Pattinson a $80,000 piano.
The 21-year-old actress – who plays Robert’s onscreen wife in the ‘Twilight Saga’ – has apparently treated her man to the instrument to mark their third anniversary.
A source said: ‘Kristen wanted to get a huge surprise for Rob for their anniversary later this month.
‘Robert’s been playing the piano his whole life and admits it’s the perfect escape for him when the showbiz world, paparazzi and fans get too much. Playing the piano is Rob’s therapy when he needs to be alone, to think, to get emotional and creative.
‘He’s really musical and loves to sing as well.
‘Kristen has been searching around specialized, high-end piano shops in Los Angeles. She’s been talking to top musicians about the best piano for months. Robert has always wanted a Steinway grand, so that’s what she opted for.
‘She blew $80,000, knowing that he’d love it.’
The ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ star is believed to have already splashed out on three vintage guitars for her music-mad 25-year-old boyfriend.
Talking to the Daily Star newspaper, the insider added: ‘He played classical guitar from the age of five, for about eight years.’

From Gossip Cop:
HollywoodLife, which never misses a chance to make up controversy about Robert Pattinson, is at it again.
The webloid’s new headline declares, “Robert Pattinson Vs. Taylor Lautner: Did Rob Diss Taylor’s Acting?”
“Is there a real-life ‘Breaking Dawn’ rivalry brewing?” asks the story’s first line, going on to tease the “inflammatory comment” that supposedly serves as “the first stone in a new war of words between the two hunks!”
Wow, Pattinson must have really said something nasty about his Twilight co-star for HollywoodLife to play it up like this, right?
Wrong.
The site refers to an (alleged) Reveal magazine interview in which Pattinson (allegedly) says, “I’d have to make a lifestyle change if I wanted to do shirtless acting. But it seems like every single actor in the world is doing a ‘Taylor Lautner’ scene – it’s crazy.”
Pattinson is said to continue, “They have a scene where they walk out with like a 12-pack. It’s like, ‘Really? You’re playing a normal guy! That doesn’t make any sense.’ But that’s a prerequisite of being an actor. Or you can get fat!”
For those of you waiting for the “inflammatory comment” HollywoodLife promised… um, apparently, that was it.
Pattinson pointed out the silliness of actors who are NOT Taylor Lautner being ripped and shirtless for roles that do NOT require being ripped and shirtless… and somehow HollywoodLife interpreted this to be a “diss” of Lautner.
He said absolutely nothing about Lautner or Lautner’s acting.
Sigh.
We’re not sure whether this is mostly a result of HollywoodLife’s reading comprehension problem or the site’s desire to create feuds, but the entire mess is yet more sloppy work from a webloid intent on creating “news,” not accurately reporting it.

@patsystew emailed Cosmopolis’ executive producer, Gregoire Melin and according to him the trailer will be sent out (to the media?) this Friday! It might mean that they’re planning to release the trailer soon but not exactly this Friday.
We can’t be sure who he is adressing in his email. Could it be media outlets? Distributors? We’ll have to wait and see.
Patricia, you cannot announce any Cannes presence before April 19th I’m afraid (you can check this with Paulo).”
“As I told Anne, the trailer shall be sent out this Friday.”
“Let me know should you need anything else from us. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.”
“Best regards, Grégoire”

@_oneheartbeat reported,
“Cosmopolis is now a sure thing.” – Cedric from Awards Daily talking about Cosmopolis at Cannes!!
This “Cedric” also has reported,
Expect a HUGE Asian and Southern (Central)-American line-up too!
This year’s official selection will be unveiled on April 19 in a press conference at the Grand Hôtel in Paris.
Another source “Cricket” also said,
Cronenberg was telling reporters last year that he was aiming to have Cosmopolis ready for Cannes, so it’s cool to have confirmation on that now. He was also very open about the fact that casting Mathieu Amalric and Juliette Binoche was one way to get some French money for the film, LOL. I’m not entirely sure what when down last year, regarding A Dangerous Method, but, regardless, I’m glad Crony will be back on the Croisette. Somehow it didn’t seem right to have a Cronenberg premiere in Venice!
Apparently, “Cedric” also allegedly has connections with Cannes. A source who wishes to remain anonymous said:
Cedric is the most spot-on and reliable insider there..he kinda works for cannes
We cannot independently verify ANY of this information. However, things are really looking up for a Cannes Film Festival screening of “Cosmopolis”! Who wants to get in the limo and head to the Cannes Film Festival?
