We won’t be surprised one bit if we see Robert Pattinson at this year’s Academy Awards. Yes, he’s presented at the Oscars already, but…
His new flick, Bel Ami, is set for release just a few days after Hollywood’s biggest night of the year. A rep for the Twilight star didn’t comment on his possible plans to attend.
ROBERT Pattinson has revealed he wore a thong while filming The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 sex scenes with girlfriend Kristen Stewart.
The British actor says the hot footage — where vampire Edward Cullen and lover Bella Swan finally get down to business on their honeymoon — was far from sexy.
“I just ended up thinking purely about vanity things,” he said.
“You’re sitting there in a little G-string.
“They give me a big G-string — but it was too small for me. It was like old ham.”
There’s a chance The Twilight Saga could continue after the fifth film opens in November.
The bombshell was reportedly dropped by Jon Feltheimer, the chief executive officer of Lionsgate Entertainment, which acquired Twilight studio Summit Entertainment for $412.5 million on Friday.
“I’m anticipating Breaking Dawn – Part 2 being $700 million-plus in worldwide box office,” said Feltheimer of the final (planned) installment in the hit vampire franchise.
According to the Los Angeles Times, when asked whether Lionsgate could envision more Twilight past next fall’s fifth film, Feltheimer left the door open.
“It’s hard for me to imagine a movie that does $700 million-plus doesn’t have ongoing value,” he said. “It’s an amazing franchise that they have done a great job of maintaining with absolutely no deterioration.”
He added, “So the simple answer is, ‘Boy, I hope so.’”
It’s not clear whether a potential continuation would involve future films or a television series.
Would you want to see post-Breaking Dawn projects for Twilight?
“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2″ may not be the end of Bella, Edward and Jacob’s on-screen journey, according to the head of the franchise’s new Hollywood home.
The chief executive of Lions Gate Entertainment, which on Friday acquired “Twilight” film studio Summit Entertainment for $412.5 million, said he believes the film franchise will continue to have value to his company, even after the Nov. 16 release of the fifth movie completes the adaptation of author Stephenie Meyer’s four books.
“I’m anticipating ‘Breaking Dawn Part 2′ being $700 million-plus in worldwide box office,” said Jon Feltheimer, predicting the next film would slightly outdo the $697 million global take of “Breaking Dawn Part 1.”
Asked whether the franchise would continue in some form for Lions Gate, he added, “It’s hard for me to imagine a movie that does $700 million-plus doesn’t have ongoing value. It’s an amazing franchise that they have done a great job of maintaining with absolutely no deterioration. So the simple answer is ‘Boy I hope so.’”
One person close to the acquisition deal but not authorized to speak publicly suggested that because Lions Gate, unlike Summit, has a television production unit, it could adapt “Twilight” for the small screen.
Asked whether there was a possibility of bringing “Twilight” to television, Feltheimer answered, “I would certainly hope so.”
It seems there was a bit of a jumping the gun on a BIG announcement early this morning. MTV’s Joshua Horowitz tweeted a list of presenters for the Golden Globes that included Rob, only to take it back an hour later. So what happened? – our guess is that Rob either has not confirmed his attendance and the list Josh saw was a tentative one, OR he wasn’t supposed to say anything and oops! he leaked the news. We’re thinking it’s the latter.. now let’s all take a deep breath and wait for the official news.
The most recent update we obtained on this rumor is at the bottom!
November 2011 – According to various users on IMDB,
tracygee:
I agree, but what a great project.
I can’t get It’s On the Grid to come up. Grrr.
Another Black List script. Sweet.
Based on the novel by Tom Rob Smith. An officer in Stalinist Russia’s secret police is framed by a colleague for treason. While on the run with his wife, he stumbles upon a series of child murders and launches his own rogue investigation.
It’s on the Grid tracks projects in development. It’s mainly used by writers to find OWAs and directors for ODAs.
I’ve found it to be reasonably accurate, but it’s not like this is something that will be announced at this stage. Summit may not find anyone interested and the project might be shelved, someone else comes in…who knows?
sherriatl:
whoa – trilogy book series…
please if you can also find out if Ridley Scott is still attached.

It’s On the Grid official article where the rumor stems!
Summit is out to directors for an adaptation of Tom Rob Smith’s crime drama CHILD 44. The project was originally set up at Fox 2000, with Ridley Scott directing. But while they may not have a director yet, they do have a star, according to what we’re hearing. And that star is none other than Robert Pattinson, the beloved Edward in Summit’s TWILIGHT franchise. RPat would play Leo, a strong-willed former member of the Soviet state police who investigates a series of child killins that are being covered up by the very group he used to lead. It’s pretty different fare for the teen heartthrob, but it’ll give him a good excuse to stretch his acting chops.
January 2012 Update: It appears there is some minor movement on this project again. @larry411 shared this image:
In the previous chatter FOX was listed as the studio. Now, as you can see in the above image, Summit Entertainment is behind the film (as originally rumored/thought). This listing above was updated 1/12/12 and is NOT available to the public for viewing. You have to be a Member of On the Grid.
We checked again and there is no IMDB page slated with this film.
So, now, the million dollar question…. is THIS the reason Rob is sporting a buzz cut? Did he do it for himself? Either way, we still want to know…. is this Rob’s rumored project that was expected to start this month?
Update: We also got clarification/thoughts from @larry411, he said,
Michael Costigan, listed as producer, is the President of Scott Free. So Ridley Scott is still backing but not directing.
Scott Free Productions, which is Ridley & his bro Tony Scott’s company along with Michael Costigan, is still behind the film as producers.
@jacndaniel Ridley is Jake’s father, Tony is his uncle. Ridley & Tony were EPs and Costigan was a prod on Rileys.
@Laty543 His company is still producing it. He is not directing it. They are looking for a director.

Our favourite Twilight lovers are said to be tense after Robert Pattinson had a night out with Sarah Roemer, an ex co-star of Kristen Stewart’s.
Although it’s been said that the night out was all business and no bonking, an apparent insider has bean spilling beans all over the place.
“Kristen’s had enough,” they told Look magazine.
“She called Rob from London where she’s been filming and told him they shouldn’t be living together when they’re in a bad place in their relationship.
“I think Rob was devastated, but he must agree as he’s moved into a hotel.”
“Days later, when Kristen was back, she moved her stuff out too – the memories of the happy times were too much for her.
“Rob says it was an innocent flirtation that got blown out of proportion, but Kristen’s not convinced
“They still love each other and Rob’s desperate not to lose her.”
Sounds like the couple are just going through a bit of a rocky patch, and while the rest of us would usually just have a bit of a strop and a hurumph about it all, they’ve reacted a bit more dramatically.
